9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Lupit will move across the inland areas of eastern Guangdong and Fujian in the next couple of days. The southwest monsoon is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to the coast of southern China and the northern part of the South China Sea in the next couple of days. With the strengthening of the anticyclone aloft, the weather over southern China will improve early to midweek next week, but a southerly airstream will also bring showers to the region. Besides, an area of low pressure is bringing unsettled weather to the seas near the Ryukyu Islands, but its development and movement remains uncertain.
