9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A fresh to strong northeast monsoon will persist over the coast of Guangdong in the next few days. The area of low pressure near the Philippines will develop gradually, and move across the central to southern parts of the South China Sea in the middle and latter parts of this week. Another area of low pressure over the western North Pacific may develop into a tropical cyclone, and edge closer to the vicinity of the Luzon Strait early next week. However, the uncertainties in its subsequent movement are rather large. Meanwhile, a replenishment of the northeast monsoon will reach southern China early next week.
